Illuminator's Clipart.

Some of you have requested "clipart" for your guild's website. We will include some of this on our blog for you. Above is a page from an 11th century German Gospel. This illuminated manuscript depicts Zechariah being informed of his son John's birth by Gabriel. The second panel is of Zechariah covering his mouth in front of his congregation to represent the fact that he could no longer speak. Remember, Gabriel made Zechariah temporarily dumb till John's birth because he was "unbelieving of God's miracle in Elizabeth's womb" They were both quite old, but Gabriel didn't appreciate Zechariah's disrespect for the message.

Please read our Terms Of Use at the Quarterly Illustrator before downloading the illuminator's clipart. The jpgs. here are produced by the staff at www.pickandprintgallery.com and are copyrighted materials. Jpgs. here may be included in creating new artworks for sale. This means that visitors may paste, cut, design, alter and color the graphics. But do not include jpgs. in any other online internet collection. Visitors may write the gallery, if you have any other questions. pickandprintgallery@yahoo.com

Our staff has recently added sepia versions of the clip art motifs below for those of you who wish to use it for parchment designs.

We will link to Clip Art collections here that we feel would interest or entertain illuminators.
